Easter Football Camp 2026

This Easter, On The Ball Academy invites players aged 4–15 to join an exciting two-week football journey inspired by Italian football. Our camps are designed to combine technical development, creativity, match play and fun, helping young players build confidence while developing their skills in a positive environment.


Every day players will experience:
• 1000 touches of the ball to maximise development
• Fun skill games and challenges
• Small-sided matches and tournaments
• Our proven 3v3 development method
• In-depth coaching from experienced academy coaches

Week 1:Italian Football Inspirations

 

Italian Giants & Modern Stars

6th – 10th April

Our first week explores the players, heroes and styles that make Italian football so exciting, while also highlighting Scottish players currently making their mark in Italy.
Each day brings a new football theme and challenge.
Monday – McTominay Monday
Inspired by the powerful style of Scott McTominay, players will work on strong midfield play, driving runs with the ball and powerful finishing.
The day will also include our “Overhead Kick Special” challenge, where players will practice acrobatic finishing techniques in fun, safe progressions.

Players will develop:
• Midfield control
• Shooting power
• Confidence attacking the goal

Tuesday – Hero Day
Tuesday celebrates some of football’s greatest icons who dazzled in Italian football.
Players will learn skills inspired by legendary players such as:
Diego Maradona – dribbling magic and creativity
Andrea Pirlo – passing vision and control
Kaká – explosive attacking runs
Francesco Totti – creativity and clever finishing
Players will practice flair skills, passing combinations and attacking moves, bringing creativity into their game.

Wednesday – Scots in Italy
Italian football continues to attract talented Scottish players, and today celebrates those currently playing in Serie A and beyond.
Players will learn about:
Kieron Bowie
Billy Gilmour
Josh Doig
Lewis Ferguson
Sessions will focus on the strengths these players bring to Italian football, including:
• Intelligent midfield play
• Dynamic attacking runs
• Defensive work rate
• Technical ability on the ball

Thursday – Defensive Masterclass
Italian football has always been famous for world-class defending.
Inspired by legendary defenders such as Paolo Maldini, Fabio Cannavaro, and Alessandro Nesta, players will learn:
• Defensive positioning
• Tackling technique
• Reading the game
• Working together as a defensive unit
Players will finish the day with defensive challenges and small-sided matches where teams earn points for strong defending.

Friday – The Italian Job
Friday celebrates everything that makes Italian football special.
Players will experience:
• Fast attacking football
• Tactical team play
• Skill challenges inspired by Italian clubs
• An exciting Italian themed tournament
The week ends with a festival of small-sided games, where players showcase everything they’ve learned.

Week 2:
Fiorentina Week

The Purple Passion of Florence

13th – 17th April

Week two focuses on one of Italy’s most historic clubs – Fiorentina, the famous purple team from Florence.
Players will learn about the club’s history and the incredible players who wore the famous shirt.
Fiorentina Icons
Throughout the week we celebrate legendary players such as:
Gabriel Batistuta – one of the most feared strikers in football history
Roberto Baggio – the creative genius loved by football fans worldwide
Giancarlo Antognoni – Fiorentina’s iconic midfield leader
Players will practice skills inspired by these icons including creative finishing, intelligent passing and confident attacking play.

Fiorentina Academy Methods
Fiorentina are known for developing technically gifted young players, and our sessions will reflect many of the key principles used in their youth development system.
Players will experience:
3v3 Development Games
Our 3v3 format ensures every player is constantly involved in the action, making more decisions, touching the ball more often and developing confidence in tight spaces.
Ball Mastery Sessions
Players will focus on control, dribbling and quick passing combinations.
Creative Attacking Play
Inspired by Batistuta and Baggio, players will practice finishing, attacking movement and creativity in front of goal.
Small-Sided Matches
Exciting games allow players to apply their new skills while enjoying competitive but friendly football.
