On The Ball Academy has been serving the Heart of Scotstoun and surrounding areas for five years. Our vision is to become the most innovative and impactful social business in West Scotland, recognized for excellence in sports and community development. Supported by a passionate board of directors, our mission is to use football as a vehicle for positive change among children, youth, families, and the local community.
In 2023, we're launching an ambitious project: a state-of-the-art facility, the first of its kind in West Scotland, focused on grassroots football as a means to enhance lives and community connections.
This facility will feature a 9-a-side pitch, a community hub, a 5-a-side pitch, and improved green spaces, offering complimentary access to local youth and projects. We aim to make the facility accessible to all through a hybrid payment system, fostering cohesion and partnerships with charitable organizations, youth groups, and local businesses.
Our project will empower locals through upskilling and employability opportunities, contributing to reducing the education attainment gap, raising aspirations, and improving mental health and wellbeing in the area.
