Our
Story
I have been involved in elite football in Scotland for the past 20 years as both a player and coach. Throughout this time, I have been fortunate to work with many of the top coaches in Scotland; mentors such as Tommy Burns inspired me to learn more about coaching and I embarked on a journey of discovery and have completed my coaching education and attained my UEFA A Licence and UEFA A Elite YOUTH licence with the Scottish Football Association.

I have spent the last five years traveling the world and learning about the various footballing cultures which populate some of the world's top academies. I am committed to utilising the research from my studies to ensure players in Scotland are afforded the maximum opportunity for successful development to the elite game through a unique learning approach to football development which is comprehensive, innovative and player-centric.

I understand that in Scotland, football is a human & social phenomenon which has acquired a vital importance in society; I am a passionate individual who is relentless in my coaching methods and I would like you to get in touch should you share this passion and more importantly, a desire and willingness to improve.

My expertise and passion lie in molding the future stars of the game from the very beginning of their footballing journey, ensuring they receive the guidance and support they need to reach their full potential.

Head Coach

My journey with On the Ball spans three enriching years, during which I've had the privilege of coaching a diverse range of age groups, from the youngest "tiny tekkers" to the 11-a-side teams. Currently, my primary focus revolves around our most senior age groups, catering to the 9-a-side and 11-a-side teams. In addition to my role at On the Ball, I play a significant part in the world of professional football as the Head of 1st Team Recruitment at Stirling Albion.
Beyond the realm of football, I'm on the cusp of a significant milestone – graduation as a veterinarian. This dual commitment to the beautiful game and the care of our four-legged friends underscores my passion for both fields and my dedication to making a meaningful impact in each of them.

It's been a fulfilling year since I joined On The Ball. My coaching responsibilities have primarily focused on our younger age groups, including the energetic Tiny Tekkers and the enthusiastic Mini Kickers, while also taking on one-on-one coaching sessions.
In addition to my coaching role, I maintain an active role as a player for Kilmarnock Women FC, which has been an incredible experience that further fuels my passion for the sport. But that's not all; I've also embarked on a new academic journey. I've recently commenced my studies in Mechanical Design Engineering at Glasgow University, where I'm excited to explore the fascinating world of engineering and design.
The blend of coaching, playing, and my academic pursuits creates a dynamic and diverse life for me, allowing me to channel my energy and dedication into both football and academic achievements.

I have been with On The Ball for 2 years now and have loved every minute. My life has always been football oriented with playing from as soon as i could walk to now. It has given me some of the best experiences i could of ever asked for, and also taught me valuable skills and values that i will use throughout my life. Currently I am playing part time football while at University studying to become a P.E teacher. Coaching really is a passion of mine and On The Ball has been massive in letting me express my love for coaching. The majority of my work with the Academy is with the older age groups. I ensure I emphasise the Academies Philosophy of playing football the correct way and most importantly being a good team and a good human being.

Coach

My coaching journey spans two enriching years, marked by milestones that have brought me to my current role at On The Ball. Prior to joining this remarkable organization, I dedicated myself to advancing my coaching credentials, attaining up to a 1.3 coaching award.
It has now been a rewarding eight months since I became a part of the On The Ball team, and during this time, I've had the privilege of being deeply involved in our coaching programs. My primary focus has been on contributing to the 1-2-1 program, where I've had the opportunity to work closely with our aspiring young talents. In this capacity, my primary objective has been to facilitate their growth by emphasising the finer technical aspects of the beautiful game.
